Ullah was selected for his Chief Strategy Officer job by former CEO and Director of the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM) John F. Lansing who apparently had no idea that his top aide, on whom he relied for advice and help with running the federal agency, was stealing taxpayers’ money from an office near his. John Lansing resigned from USAGM late in 2018 and is now the head of National Public Radio (NPR).
